Meet Coach Dave

With over 28 years of coaching experience, I bring a lifelong passion for player development and the game of hockey. I spent seven years working with Pass Hockey in Toronto, where I focused on the development of AAA and AA players, helping athletes refine their skills and understanding of the game at a high level.

As a former Junior and University player, I combine first hand playing experience with decades of coaching knowledge to provide well-rounded instruction. For the past 15 years, I have been actively involved in minor hockey coaching, including the last two seasons with the Barrie Colts AAA Zone program. In 2025, I was honored to receive the Coach of the Year award for my contributions to player development and team success.

My coaching approach focuses on developing all facets of the game—skating, puck skills, hockey IQ, and positional play—while creating a positive and challenging environment that helps players reach their full potential.
